I love seed exchanges so much. They were so eye opening as a brand new gardener! Here were all of these kind, talented people who were taking the time to share their knowledge and seeds. Seed exchanges and seed libraries really helped me to afford to plant so much more than I could have managed alone in those first years. They connected me to gardening and to my community, as well as helping us to feed ourselves.

It was such an incredible feeling to be participating on the other side this weekend! I had the privilege of being a vendor at our local seed exchange this year. (Held annually at the Black River Bridge Community Centre, just outside of Miramichi). This was our first time taking our plant starts out to sell. I was worried that we wouldn’t get much interest since we had almost exclusively hot peppers this early in the season. People were excited to see something green out though!
We met so many wonderful people, and had such an amazing time. We have more vendor locations in the works and will update them as soon as they are finalized.
