Travelling with older kids? Or just craftier ones? Or not going anywhere but are just tired of all of those stupid little diamond art pieces getting everywhere and wish you could just keep them all contained???? (cough cough definitely not a frustration I have experienced…)

If you answered yes to any of those questions, then this is the project for you!

In which the author may have given away her deep and abiding hatred for anything that mixes both her children, and many tiny little pieces…

This one was by far the simplest to assemble. All I did was put diamond are kits in the boxes, with some extra storage containers for the different diamond packages when they were opened. The biggest challenge was the same as the Lego boxes, I bought the boxes first and then had to work to find kits to fit in them afterwards. You would probably have a much easier time if you do the opposite!

I didn’t want to open any of the kits for the photos, but they are just the right size for the diamond art pages to fit neatly in the lid. This leaves plenty of room (and a taller side) for the fiddly bits in the bottom.

Because I had a bit of extra crafty time to give to these, a had a some extra fun painting the lids. If you are trying this yourself though, don’t forget that you can decorate the boxes however you like, no painting required! Paint them a solid colour, stencil them, add their names, glue on pretty paper or fabric, anything goes!

What did you think of these ones? Would you give them a try? Would you dare to take them in the car or would you just be grateful that there was a way to keep all of the tiny pieces contained?
